Next week will be my last interning in the office of Community Relations at the University of Virginia. My major project has been working to update the directory that will replace the one currently at OutreachVirginia.org.
Next week I will also be done all of the required coursework to complete my degree requirements for my Master of Science in Public Relations from Syracuse University. After completing my internship here, I’ll be relocating somewhere in the United States or Canada most likely in the month of August to begin a full-time job in most likely in K-12 or higher education communications and/or admissions.
I’ve interviewed with a number of organizations at which I could imagine enjoying work every day. Final decisions will be coming shortly and I will continue pursuing open opportunities until I have found the best fit for my interests and experience.
My 13-month program at Newhouse and the last 7 weeks at UVA have been interesting experiences but very soon I’ll be moving on. As soon as I know I’ll let you all know what my plans are.
