Starting at Hebron Academy

Hi everybody,

After a thoughtful job search process I’ve accepted the position of Digital Communications Coordinator at Hebron Academy in Hebron, Maine.

Yesterday I was on campus for the all-day new Faculty Orientation and formally begin on Monday. My primary responsibility is to communicate the value of Hebron Academy to prospective students and alumni through the university’s website, social media platforms, photos, videos, and printed materials.

It has gone very well so far. Yesterday I met some other new staff and faculty. We were introduced to the teaching philosophy at Hebron, and I was impressed. It truly does seem like a special place where faculty are fully committed to “inspire and guide students to reach their highest potential in mind, body and spirit“. It’s great to be at a place where people really embrace and support the organization’s mission.

Starting tomorrow will be a week of getting oriented to the school including a number of New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) self-study, staff, and faculty meetings.

I’m glad to be here and excited for the opportunities and challenges this position will bring. I’ll be sure to share my experiences and my work here. Best of luck to my classmates who are scattered throughout the country finding things that excite them.
